After one week travelling around the lower South Island, this was the most expensive and the absolute worst quality. Not recommended. On the plus side, I left an item behind and the staff were fantastic to advise me and send it on. Also the staff were very friendly at checkin and departure.

I'm glad that the staff were able to assist you promptly post check out retrieving your lost items. The hotel was very good, the location was a little outside town but was nicely set out, the staff very good the room was very good but slightly warm during my stay at night for the first two nights, but the nights were very warm outside as well.
On site parking was excellent. We loved staying at this hotel it's recently been renovated in the main block. There are units out the back too so make sure when you book to tell them which ones. Very comfortable and warm with double glazed windows leading to a balcony. Bathroom is well equipped with shampoos etc. The restaurant is particularly nice.
Breakfasts are excellent from a fully cooked to just a continental. Only 1 hour drive to Invercargill and 1. The renovated Superior rooms are quite special aren't they?
