Horse riders especially like the Otaki River walkway and one can go from the river mouth to the hills. A bit messed up at the moment with the new bridge being built over the Otaki River, but no doubt it will get back to normal.

Walk up or down the river, up is my favourite as it has lots of greenery and places to stop and picnic. Down is a bit more industrial and just stones. Both are great on a nice day and perfect for a dog walk.
