We understand that plans change, and this is often outside of your control, so we're doing you a solid favour and have updated our policies for bookings made on and after 27 August :. Adding an additional driver to your booking allows you to split the driving so you can more time staring out the window at the stunning New Zealand scenery! Any additional Drivers MUST be present at the branch upon collection of the vehicle, or if they decide to add a driver during their trip they will need to go into the nearest JUCY Branch.
Unfortunately, we are not able to add an additional driver over the phone or by email. We keep this low for you as an additional driver, because it makes for safer driving. Please note, as per our excess reduction rules, all drivers must be named on the rental agreement to be covered. Like any cover, however, there are exclusions. If you choose to not have any excess reduction, the full amount of the excess will be held as bond for the duration of your hire. Any bond held will be refunded to your card 7 - 14 working days from when your vehicle is picked up.

You will only be charged for the kilometres you drive if you hire a Coaster or Compass campervan. The cost of operating our branches varies across the country, largely driven by the cost of the real estate we operate on. Some of our branches are conveniently located on airport grounds, or close to the airport where overheads are typically higher. Customers who pick up vehicles from these branches are charged a Location Fee in order to recover some of the costs associated with operating inside or nearby the Airport terminal for your convenience. Please note, all items are subject to availability.

If your vehicle has a blue self-contained sticker displayed and you decide to freedom camp, you must ensure you are close to public toilets and take extra care to clear your site of any rubbish and other waste, before leaving. When exploring, please keep to the roads. Driving in off-road conditions, including fire trails, beaches, sand, tracks, fields or paddocks, is not permitted.
