It is well maintained with excellent walking tracks and several areas for family time and children to play. If you have time - and the energy - take one of the tracks up to Mt Kaukau.

I was surprised to see that this stunning Khandallah Park has not yet received an overall rating of 5 stars excellent as it is a beautiful park with a stunning outdoor pool and gorgeous walking tracks.
It is very popular with the locals and ideal for walking the dog. Nice and sunny on a summers day and great for an outdoor picnic and swim. A small stream meanders through the park and play area offering more beauty. Date of experience: February Jack C wrote a review Dec Good but not amazing. To be honest, only worth if you have young kids and you live in the area. It's good but not amazing, there's a nice and easy track to do.

Suburban and inner city collections
Select check-in date. Wellington, New Zealand. Khandallah is a great 'families' community with a village, churches, library and schools, not to mention restaurants, cafes, a pub and takeaways. Supermarket, post office, Khandallah Medical Clinic and a pharmacy are all in the village. Mt Kaukau provides great walking opportunities being on the Northern Walkway and a park.
